If you live in the Pasadena area and enjoy books, then the California International Antiquarian Book Fair is a local event that might interest you. For 2014, the event takes place at the Pasadena Convention Center, which is located at 300 East Green Streets.
Dates for the event are Friday, February 7th through Sunday, February 9th. This is the 47th year for the book fair, which hosts over 200 booksellers. You can browse their collections and take a peek at rare books and manuscripts. If you see a book that you like, then you can even purchase it.
This year’s festival celebrates Shakespeare’s 450th birthday with a special discussion on Saturday. Also on Saturday, author Nicholas Basbanes signs his latest book "On Paper-The Everything of its Two-Thousand-Year History."
Tickets for the event start at just $10 for students and go up to $25 for a 3-day pass.
